Certain games take on bigger meaning for sure as an independent with no conference championship to chase. Based on Dres comments, beating BYU was more important than games in their conference for which the conference championship should be main goal. Maybe if they paid attention to Colorado as they did to BYU they could have been in the conference title game their first year. Just saying. They're aggressiveness and focus in the BYU game was absent in the most important game of the year for them that year: Colorado. But Dre was clear that that game wasn't as important to win as it was to circle and beat BYU.
