yet you see a difference in the mindset and energy Utah has when playing...
...certain conference teams like Stanford last year or USC in recent years that is similar to the same chip on their shoulder that exists when they play BYU that doesn't exist at all when they go and just lay down in front of schools like AZ, ASU, Udub, etc. It's teams they look up to and target and Kyle has them sharp and focused and ready to play. In the games I've watched I see a noticeable difference in the intensity and energy and wonder why can't Utah play with the same intensity and emotion they have in the BYU game.

This has been why Kyle was successful in big games during the yewts time in the MWC, they circled a few key dates on the schedule and built their season around that. Focused their emotions and energy on those games and often times caught bigger programs off-guard or unprepared who were looking ahead. I agree the yewts aren't good enough to be in the Pac12, that's something most college football fans not from Salt Lake Valley predicted prior to 2011, but in the past that never stopped them from surprising those same teams or teams from other p5 conferences. They got up for big games and Kyle had them razor sharp and prepared and they played above themselves.

I acknowledge your point and that is obviously a factor but it's not a factor that Utah in the past hasn't been able to overcome.
