other than geography, byu had much more to offer than tcu, yet was not chosen
There is another rumor that the tcu athletic director or president was on the phone with the Big12 frequently while byu was asking for concessions, and the tcu deal was sealed over drinks.
who knows. Seems like byu overplayed it's hand or just was too tentative. It seems that Fox wasn't an advocate for adding byu, for whatever its reasons. I blame Jimmy Johnson.
