who appears to make the same mistake you did. Or, the Utah fan now claims he checked with his "sources" who said the exact expression that the Big east guy did?

You have no point. The fact is the "piece of work" quote, as anyone paying attention at the time knows (and as my linked article shows), originated from the Big East negotiations. Period.
