Here is what we know.
- Out of high school Riley had virtually no offers for a scholarship QB. Not even one from BYU.
- James Lark had numerous scholarship offers many from major college football programs.
- Riley Nelson lost us at least two games by throwing pic 6's in games which the margin of loss was less than 7 points.
- Coaches spent their time developing and playing Riley Nelson, not James Lark.
- No coaches at major programs thought Riley had enough talent to warrant a scholarship. His performance at BYU proves they were right.

Here is what we don't know.

-If Lark had started for two years and took as many snaps as Riley, would he have been better.

I think any college coach in charge of scholarships would say yes...that is why they offered them to him and not Riley.

You need to get over Riley. He only started over Lark because of Grit. He was quite possibly the worst QB BYU has ever had.

I saw Blackmon in for one passing play during Houston game. He had a phenomenal play called back because of a small mistake. I saw Juergens use his Grit to get more yards, and turn the ball over. Why is Juergens playing more than Blackmon? Maybe he doesn't know the playbook as well, but as soon as he makes a really dumb move like turn the ball over because of Grit, then you have a legitimate argument.
