The corner who victimized Juergens twice in that game was a little smaller than Mitchell and yet twice he just dominated him physically in both cases and ripped the ball from his hands. Juergens has good potential like you said but he hasn't shown anything to warrant his being a starter either. He has shown he needs to hit the weight room before getting a major role in the offense if little 5'9" corners can manhandle him like that so easily.

If we have to watch an inexperienced player grow through trial and error on the field then it doesn't make sense to do that with the less talented guy. Blackmon has the bigger upside and if he lacks experience in the system and that's why he's not getting onto the field then it only makes sense to get him the time on the field to play through it.

Juergens hasn't played in a live game since his senior year of high school in 2009. He had a redshirt year before his mission and then a year on the scout team but he's got a learning curve just like Blackmon does.
