he was the victim of terrible timing...
...when he came home from his mission Max Hall was the senior QB and Riley was the heir apparent and his backup. Then in 2010 spring practice we all were smitten with Jake Heaps' potential and Bronco was in love with Riley's grit. We actually had an NFL draft pick QB on our roster that season (Brad Sorenson) who couldn't get the attention of coaches either. They had eyes only for Max and Riley. Lark had no chance and was the forgotten man. Sorenson recognized the writing on the wall and transferred to Southern Utah and then got drafted in the NFL.

Can we "honestly" say ANY other QB got a chance to show what they could do when coaches had a major Riley and Jake lovefest going on? The fact that we had an NFL QB on our roster who was hopelessly buried on the depth chart and he had to leave school and transfer to get his NFL talent noticed tells me that the answer is a resounding NO. You can't say that Lark had a chance to show what he could do.
