or he wouldn't have been beaten out twice by true freshman and Riley. He had 5 years to show who he was. 5 years. The coaching staff saw him every day and yet he could never climb up to the top of the depth chart. He got beat out by Heaps...who was bad...and Riley...who was bad...and then when Riley got hurt they still looked past him and went to Hill.
And if that isn't bad enough...they thought so little of his skill set that they preferred Riley with a broken back. Now they were wrong...but that's a pretty good indication of what the QB coach, the Offensive Coordinator, and the HC thought of his skill set.
Love the kid. He was loyal, he did his best...but his best included a glacier slow release, an inability to read defenses, and not enough mobility to make up for what Weber did to the OL. Creme rises to the top...he had 5 years...he never got there.
