I didn't apply. 2 semesters at Dixie, a few at SLCC, then I headed to Weber
for nursing. I didn't quite have the grades to get into to BYU, but even if I did I don't know if I could have handled the culture and honor code. I'm an active member, but there is something about bed checks, dorm parents, 12:00 curfews, and grooming standards for legal adults that rubs me the wrong way. But I was born a Cougar and raised a Cougar by a great man and Cougar behind enemy lines at the U. My wife, a former Utah fan/BYU hater has seen the light and attends games with me and rocks the Cougar gear. My kids will be raised as Cougar fans and we will always cheer for the church's football team.
