I disagree, but I'm on the opposite side of the fence.
being transparent, I'm an atheist and a BYU fan.
I don't honestly care about the gay marriage thing (it doesn't affect me, nor most other people, whether or not gay people get married or don't), but in general just because the majority votes on something doesn't mean it's fair and just. This is far from the first time in history a majority has voted on something that isn't constitutional and then overturned for being as such.
