First, it is apologetic...its a byu sports site. Second, you cant possibly believe that the church doesnt evaluate and consult on church actions, especially political, before it goes into public with member mobilizing, sacrament read policies. It would be foolish not too. The church also has a substantial PR group. I just dont think the church cared about who they pissed off. Its not the first time we've broken from public opinion.
