I still would encourage them. Enthusiastically. Football isn't everything, and
as a student, it was only on my mind 6 Saturdays of the year - away games were often hard to find back in the early 90s.
So many other reasons that BYU is an awesome place. Some of my best friends to this day are guys from my floor freshman year in Helaman Halls.
It would still suck to lose football...in a major way...but there are other things in life.
