Choosing Rexburg over Provo is more common than you think
I had the grades and test scores to get into BYU, and chose BYU-Idaho. It was one of the best choices of my life, and has opened many opportunities for me. Many people have chosen BYUI over BYU, and others have transferred from Provo to Rexburg by choice. You are discounting a university that you frankly don't know much about. Job placements, etc. coming out of Rexburg are actually very good. There is more to life than the name on your paper.
