So I assume you wouldn't want your kids to go to Harvard, Yale, or Princeton too
Those schools have all de-emphasized football to the point of basically making it go away, (yes I realize they still have teams but not scholarships and it isn't a part of the culture). I am not saying BYU is on the same level academically as those schools, but most people who send their kids to Harvard don't care about the football environment, they care about the professors, other students, alumni network, opportunities, and dozens of other things that are important to a college experience.
