First off, is BYU is "mediocre" there are about 70-80 Division I schools that
would like to be "mediocre" too. There are dozens of schools out there -- many in P5 conferences -- which would love to enjoy our "mediocrity" of 9 straight winning seasons and 10 straight bowl games.
Can BYU do better than this season? Yes. Is it all or even mostly Bronco's fault? IMHO, no.
If I were to make a prediction, BYU will end up 8-5 for the third year in a row and Bronco will win his 7th bowl game. That's probably the minimum required by the church for him to keep his job. However, until the program descends to Crowton-bad levels I don't see them making a change so I choose not to obsess about it.
