I wasn't referring to his success since starting. It doesn't matter how good your surrounding talent is before you show you deserve to be the starter. He didn't become a starter because of the talent around him. And i was just using him as an example of someone taking the job as a RS.
Way too many people keep using Heaps as a measuring stick for Mangum and you should know that's wrong. He's not Heaps.
We also don't have Doman running things. And if you're suggesting Mangum will be the Heaps and Hosick the Nelson, i wouldn't bet on that happening again. See also the first sentence.
You don't have to live in fear of that garbage and assume every situation will be like that. I think the Hill situation provided plenty of an opportunity to do it and hmmm, they stuck with Hill.
I'm just saying, if he is clearly better in 2016, why be against it? Because that's not how it "usually goes?" Would you oppose it if there's a clear leader just for the sake of sticking to some norm that has some correlation and probably much less causation?
