I hate the proliferation of pushing off that I see now with guards...
...who try to penetrate and then get cut off. They push off with their guard arm to create separation on the defender so they can do a step back jumper. I know Jazz fans feel that MJ pushed off on Byron Russell in the 98 Finals but that was minor contact compared to what I see kids do today in college. It's a forearm square in the chest and a shove that's hard enough to help the ball handler bounce backwards several feet and giving him a wide open shot
