- I like 35. I think the NBA clock is far too short. Changing this would be a big disservice to many teams who play slow ball. Many small schools are competitive because they are good at working the ball. If the shot clock changes too much then you eliminate teams like Princeton and Air Force from being able to compete. And one of the best NCAA finals ever was Villanova beating Patrick Ewings Georgetown. With a short shot clock the slower, shorter Nova would never have beaten Georgetown.
- This would be an good change. FEBA does it this way too.
- If you force a team to use a time out I think that the defense has been rewarded. This is a highly variable rule though.
- I disagree with this. By what measure are you calling the three too easy? Should we only allow one point for a layup because it is so easy? The distance is just an arbitrary measure and it is the same for every team.
- This is a rule. It is up to the refs to enforce it.
- This just about made my head explode. Imagine you are up one and you foul the shooter. So they make two free throws to go up by one AND they get the ball back? Thus eliminating any chance for heroics like Ainge against ND? Why not just call the game at that point? I get your issue but this would be far worse. I would love to see a pre-season tournament try that out. It would be pure mayhem.
