Utah chickened out last year and this year. In my mind, that's a forfeit. They lost bragging rights when they were too cowardly to step on the field...but even with that it's 4 straight, not 5.

And do you think Boise would be Boise with our improved schedule?

Boise became Boise by following the BYU model of the early 80's...play a very, very, very bad schedule and feast on it. Boise wouldn't have even been Boise if they were playing in the same MWC BYU played in. The MWC of today is basically the WAC.

Now if you would like to retreat back to the MWC and follow the BYU of the 80's/BSU formula of feasting on very weak schedules, then you could very well see BYU do what Boise is doing. In fact...you quite likely would. Or go one step further and drop to FCS and watch BYU be a powerhouse.

But if you want BYU to do what BYU is doing, manage your expectations. BYU is trying to compete with programs in warm climates that all but prostitute women out to players while letting them party like rock stars and take PE classes. When you transport Provo to the South, eliminate the Honor Code, and start hiring people to do players work, then you can put your expectations up there with Bama...or if you want to play 10-11 games against the Wac...then you can put your expectations up there with Boise(Of course Boise has no honor code and their academics are a joke...)
