kicker on the PAT late in the game, using up two timeouts when BYU needed them if it had any plans to win the game in regulation. However, once again, Bronco played not to lose, having absolutely no faith in his offense that had been tearing it up.
Another embarrassing moment was the final play of the Memphis drive that led to the late TD and game tying PAT. BYU's defense had been putting good pressure on the Memphis QB, but on the fourth and goal play, Bronco decides to rush only two and drop nine, giving the Memphis QB plenty of time to make a sandwich, get some chips from the cupboard, check Sportscenter for some updated scores, call his long lost buddy from high school to talk about the good ole days, all before finding a guy in the end zone. Typical Bronco choke job. (Did Bronco not learn anything from the 2006 John Beck to Harline final play when Utah rushed only two?)
