You are not taking into consideration a few things:
Yes ESPN would pay more to BYU.

ESPN will also have a better inventory of games for the conference so it would have the flexibility to add a good matchup: e.g. BYU v. Texas or BYU v. Oklahoma at a west coast start time which would bring in a much better audience than BYU vs Utah State BYU v San Jose State....right now the late start times are mainly Pac12 games or WAC/MWC. The bigger audience will create a higher price point for advertisers.

Is that increase in demand enough to offset the increase in payment to BYU? I don't know, but the increased value of BYU's games, especially in the 2nd half of the season should not be ignored in your analysis.

Additionally, the conference would then have a conference championship game that will just be gravy for ESPN. The increase in revenue from that addition as well should be included in the analysis.
