Yes, I understand the math of the "what if" used by accountants. I was just

stating that BYU in the Big 12 costs ESPN more than BYU as an independent. Yes, you can say that BYU is a cheaper addition than some other school not on an independent contract. But ESPN will be spending more money per year with BYU in the Big 12. People have been talking about this like ESPN is going to reduce their costs with BYU in the Big 12, and that is simply not the case.
