I don't feel this extremely but I understand your frustration.
Under the guise of apathy, there are undertones of deep annoyance with BYU for me. There are a lot of things that bother me about the way this program is run which I think are fixable if we would be more flexible. I hope we'll somehow break through.
To the people tearing him down - I have a couple words:
1. Not everyone is capable of unbridled optimism.
2. Some people need to get it out. (no "keep it to yourself")
3. Be careful, as the infighting within the fanbase may drive people away. As much as you think you'd like to be rid of the "weak minded," a national fanbase can't survive if all but the most devout feel unwelcome.
