Some interesting comments were shared yesterday by Criddle and confirmed by Kuresa in rebuttal to someone who claimed that Bronco fired Anae when he left BYU in 2010. Both confirmed that Robert Anae did in fact resign, because he was asked by Bronco to resubmit his resume. Based on Anae's performance to that time, he apparently felt that his record should speak for itself and it was an affront to be asked to submit his resume so he decided to move on.
The article below mentions that Bronco had allegedly told the staff "to aggressively seek other employment options", but apparently he also asked them specifically to resubmit their resumes. Anae didn't care for that and resigned.
Here is an article for reference:

Whether boneheaded or not, Bronco has certainly held his offensive staff accountable the past 5 years even to the point in some cases of alienating loyal coaches.
