The lady doth protest too much, methinks...
...it's no more spurious or discredited than Clinton's denial of his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. It's easy for an official press release to mince words, you choose to call it a lie, that's not how I see it. A person in the public eye gets exposed, caught in a pinch and gives a denial, that doesn't make it real evidence. Clinton clouding the issue with his vague responses and play on words doesn't constitute real evidence, he just gave a crafty dodge. Just because he looked me in the eye, bit his lip and appeared to be forthright doesn't make it so. I'm just not that naive.

If Bronco was a more engaging, open and transparent individual he might have more credibility and get the benefit of the doubt. As for BYU's official release, they appeared to be pretty crafty with their dodge as well. It's not the first time they've tried to mitigate a situation and do damage control. BYU doesn't always come off looking like a shining knight in the national media with the way they handle these situations.
