...when the defensive staff has a bad year they get to keep their jobs and in some cases they get to keep their same rate of pay even though they no longer have to actually do the duties their job description calls for. That's like getting paid not to work.

When the offensive staff has a bad year they're told they no longer have jobs and they can re-apply for them but they shouldn't hold their breath about getting them back again.
