1. who knows. BYU's been very jekyl and hyde this year. we lead top-10 UCLA on the road for 50 minutes and then only lost by 1, then we crapped the bed against UM, then we looked crappy for 50 minutes against UConn then laid the beatdown. your guess is as good as mine. i have this chalked up as a "L" because i don't trust our offense to keep pace with you guys.

2. mobile QB's used to kill us but we've gotten better defending them. however, our D is tailor made to frustrate a true pocket passer. bronco's (HC/DC) blitz packages are very creative and he made rosen look like a high school freshman out there. i'm scared to death of your mobile guy. i hope the other one starts.

3. we are on our back up QB, 5th string RB and lots of injuries on DL and LB. we should hopefully get back our Nose who is a beast and our star LB (langi) who is our best playmaker on D (him and safety nacua and DL kaufusi all have big-play potential)

4. just watch the michigan game...if you have a solid DL that can get pressure without blitzing our freshman QB won't have time to find open WR's, he'll panic and it's a mess.

5. heck no. only way BYU joins a G5 league is if they get passed up again by P5's and they get told "there's no way you're getting in". even then it would take a "western division" that included teams like BSU and maybe even UNLV/CSU/SDSU/etc. but BYU is in a "P5 or bust" mentality right now. G5 is a step back for exposure, tv $, scheduling, recruiting, etc.

- the guy that said that is our OLB coach, not our DC. and given the teams we face that shouldn't be a slight. UCLA is a legit top-20 team with probably the best RB in the country. UM scored 31 points on BYU in one half (0 in second)...that hasn't happened in 5-6 years. it's not a slight. having said that i think ECU will present challenges esp if sommers(?) is at QB.

- you aren't even close to BSU. they've been to (and won) 3 BCS/NY6 games. please stop. PS neither is BYU for that matter...we have more to offer as a program (stadium, fan base, history, NC, etc) but we aren't BSU either. hardly anyone is. just cuz you beat them in a down year in a bowl game means next to nothing. we beat them in 2013 and 2015...they are still "above us" at this point...at least as far as recent history is concerned.

- our WR's are tall but not real physical...i wouldn't be too worried. we do have lots of "really good" guys but no elite ones catching the ball. if our QB has time to spread it around that is where we can get D's on their heels.

- seems like a solid game...i'd be happy renewing.

- any intelligent BYU fans will not be surprised by ECU's talent/athleticism. we know you guys are good. some more casual fans may say "eastern what? oh...that's not even a state...we'll win" but that's not how most on here feel about the pirates. gonna be a tough game. like i said, after i watched us struggle with UConn and you guys beat VT, i changed my prediction on this game to a "L".
