Answers to your questions...

Some of your fan base doesn't even know who ECU is. I heard it's not gonna be sold out. After the 2 consecutive losses has some of the wind been taken out of the sails so to speak?

H57: BYU LaVell Edwards stadium should have about 60,000 fans or tad under. Only wind out of the sail was the UCLA game, where BYU had that game won, but lost on missed opportunities. Michigan flat out punished BYU and BYU didn't respond. They laid on the field sucking their thumb. Bad prep, bad mental game, bad everything.

(2) Does your D perform better against mobile QBs or pocket passers?

H57: Depends on BYU LB and how they perform. Langi, BYU best MLB is very agressive and with an NFL type LB body, he can hit and punish players. Because BYU plays a 3-4 defense, it is up to the NG to really take on your Center and Guards. Once Travis Tuiloma is back in the ECU game (was out due to injury) then the front three will be fine. They have a good rotation going so, once established ECU will see that running on BYU Travis Tuiloma will be rather difficult.

Pocket passer from BYU POV will be better, but don't think that a mobile QB will run over BYU defense. LB, IF they are assignment sound will punish anyone in their path.

(3) I know you guys have been plagued by injuries this year just like we have and I've heard you're getting a few back this week. What's the overall health of the team going into this week?

H57: Langi, Tuiloma and Jordan Pretor are back on defense. As for offense, RB Hine most likely will participate. At this point, all WR are playing and QB is fine. RB packages will be diverse and will pose a good dose of running and passing.

(4) What's the best way to slow down your offense? I saw a post on here explaining that if a team can get real physical with your tall WRs then it may frustrate them, is that true?

H57: Michigan Corners (similar size to BYU WR) played press against them and forced BYU Oline and QB to make passes. Problem is our OC really didn't plan and change much in that game, hence the blow out. That loss hurts but what hurts more is that our OC wasn't flexible until after the UConn game, where you saw more crossing routes, shorter passing tree routes as well as more continuity from Oline to QB to WR. No offense, but ECU won't be as physical as Michigan.

Play off then BYU will sit and move the ball down the field. Play press and you will see crossing routes that will cause your LB to rethink their game plan. Either way, BYU offense in those scenarios has the upper hand.

(5) I know that BYU has 'P5' aspirations just like we do but if the AAC continued to build its brand and received a substantial pay raise is there any scenario that could induce BYU to join in order to create an easier path to a New Years Day bowl?

H57: Out of all the NON P5 teams in the country, the BEST team out there is BYU, par none. Value add that BYU brings is a national brand, TV solutions, fans worldwide and a winning record. IN order for BYU to sustained 23 sport programs, they need P5 money.

BYU sports are rather diverse, with awesome club programs (Rugby) to NCAA track, Basketball, football, MVB, WVB, WSCO that are traditionally ranked from year to year (exclude BYU FB, which has been 8-5 the past four years-not acceptable).

Other thoughts:

- Your DC said that ECU is the 3rd best O faced so far this year (out of 5 games played thus far). Notwithstanding BYU's tough schedule so far, I know that our proud program takes that as a slight regardless of how much veracity that statement may hold.

H57: Bronco Mendenhall, our HC/DC says nice things because he is a nice man. ECU might be, but I would say Cincy offense is better than ECU. Take no offense, like BYU of the 80's, ECU still has to prove itself. You do that by playing UP and over the years your team has done that. Kudos, but Cincy has a better offense, so I say ECU will be the 4th best offense BYU will see.

- BYU is only the 4th game that we will have ever played against a team located west of Texas. We have beaten Stanford ('95 Liberty) and #21 Boise ('07 Hawaii) in bowl games and we lost to #3 Washington when we were down and they were in their prime back in '93. We really want to earn some respect out west because the casual fan out there doesn't really know much about us. Our program isn't really that much behind Boise State in our eyes. We usually play a much more difficult schedule then they do and we don't get the same publicity for getting 8-9 wins as BSU does for getting 10-11 wins every year. Keep in mind that a below average ECU (7-5) beat a 10-win ranked BSU in that Hawaii bowl.

H57: BYU bowl record under Bronco Mendenhall has been very good as well. Kudos to your program for finishing strong.

- I was more confident about this game before it was announced that we'd be losing a starting CB and a premiere backup CB (the backup is actually our best who is a true freshman that was about to begin starting for us). Big losses from a team that has not had a healthy OL all year and who may start a QB that wasn't even on the 3-deep 2 weeks before the opener. Although some sun shiners are asserting that the ones filling the void are better match-ups against BYU.

H57: ECU plays with a chip on their shoulder and that is how I prefer BYU to play, but in LES, this game like any other game will come down to reading plays, being assignment sound. ECU corners won't be an issue for BYU WR. It is up to the Oline and OC to make those WR shine and BYU OC can do that with very aggressive routes.

- Interesting that these 2 programs have the highest attendance outside of the 'P5' and that this is the 1st ever meeting. I wonder after the game in Greenville if we'll renew the series anytime soon?

H57: Hope not, not that you folks are worth competition, because you are, but BYU focus should be playing UP and that means playing more P5 teams. It's that simple.

- I think your fans will be surprised by ECU's athleticism and physicality. We are the only football-first school in our state and we have a very refined and stable program right now which is why we are a tough out even in this 'rebuilding year plagued by injuries.' We have beaten all of our regional rivals (UNC, NCSU, & VT) multiple times in a row (also 5 consecutive against the ACC) and we are determined to continue to be the best football program in our state. Be prepared for a hard-nosed game tomorrow and may both our teams come away without further injury.

H57: Some BYU fans might be surprised by ECU athleticism and physicality, but that is how BYU plays (minus the Michigan game) and ECU will be more surprised actually. I think teams speed wise, ECU is better than BYU and I won't be surprised with that. ECU will be surprised to see Langi (MLB) speed and his physicality.

UNC, NCSU are considered mid tier ACC schools and kudos for beating them. BYU has played against GaTech, UVA which are better ACC teams. BYU, I think has a match up against VT, but not 100% sure. Would like to play them actually because they are a P5 team.

Enjoy the scenery which makes LES one very special place to play this great game we call football.
