I have seen this general statement a few times, and it bothers me
once the pass travels more than about 10 yards in the air, you want that pass thrown as hard as possible.

If Dan Marino or John Elway were throwing the passes to our WR's, do you think they would be slower passes? No way, They would have more heat on them, that is the whole reason why arm strength is a desired attribute for the NFL. From what I have seen, I think our WR's would continue to drop passes from strong armed NFL guys, and they would full off cross marks.

Taysom could improve on his touch on the short routes, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the zip on his intermediate passes, all those drops are on the receivers.

There has been some improvement in the WR's technique, I have seen less incorrect thumbs out issues, which was a bigger problem the first few games, but these WR's in general, especially the younger ones, clearly need some work catching big boy passes, I will exclude Pearson from the general statement however, his catching has been on point, MLP has been decent as well.
