I could work in the private sector and make much more but chose education setting
Because I'm the mom and the schedule works well for that. I'm not complaining about my salary but I don't have any at home work either. I just hate to see these gross misrepresentations as if a teacher's W-2 says anything close to 6 figures.
Teachers chose their career and you chose yours. Is it worse to whine about pay or brag about long hours? Seems a toss up to me.
