Yes, but then you'd have to live in Wyo. But seriously, someone in my grad school cohort went to
work as a school psych in Wyo (he grew up there) and got a $15k signing bonus and started out $15K more than any district in Utah. I think the question is: if education is so important and we have a teacher shortage, why are we not thinking more critically about the solutions for getting more willing to enter the profession and why can't places like Utah keep people in the profession? If we're serious about solutions, better pay has to be part of the conversation.
