What's the point of tipping? Paying above cost for good service, right?
Also, there seems to be unwritten %standards to various services.
What I DON'T understand are ice cream shops or sand which shops in which you stand in a line, order, shuffle to the register to pay, and are asked for a tip but NEVER served.
Does anyone tip at Fire house subs, for example?

I hope the waiter/waitress spits in your food when you go out to eat. You can go ahead and try and argue why it's ok..

I think that if people want to not tip in a sit down restaurant they should tell the waiter beforehand
