It's optional for you to, for example wear shorts to church but I bet you wouldn't do that either.
I think we got it: it's optional for you, regardless of what most of society thinks is decent behavior. Fortunately, most of society doesn't feel the same way you do. Like if you're that guy walking around church wearing shorts, don't be surprised when people think you're odd or even a jerk.

I think that if people want to not tip in a sit down restaurant they should tell the waiter beforehand
