No, it's nothing similar. I had banked 160 hours as part of an exit strategy
That amount of PTO would have been paid out upon my departure, because I EARNED IT as per our agreement. It's now gone. The fact is, what's an "acceptable" amount of time is now subjective. Some bosses are just plain sucky that way.

I usually lose vacation time to non-usage, but I still hate this move and consider it anti-employee.
