For better or worse, governmental worker protections have been
pretty successful. Every time a state or federal government puts another worker protections into place, it further displaces the need for unions.
It's not 1920 anymore. The union system is largely out of date and unions have done more than enough to earn the scorn of the public.
If you lean left, you should view the displacement of unions by government as a positive move to ensure worker protection.
