Rise Against All-American
I think most rational fans understand that he's a project.
We understand that he needs to work on his conditioning and strength. We understand that english is his second language and that he doesn't understand the vernacular associated with football because he's so new to it. And we understand that he needs to develop his skill. I think what gets fans so excited is that he's different. He's huge. He's lovable, and he's absolutely not your typical freshman football player. He has potential, for sure. And I'm confident that Nu'u Tafisi will get him in football shape in the next 2-3 years and that Tuiaki will help him develop some technique.
From what I've heard most of my friends say, our expectations are that he might get in on a field goal or PAT unit a few times this year. Nothing more really. But he could very well be a Vince Wilfork by his senior season. A big, solid mass of human that clogs up the middle, gobbles up blockers and jams the lanes making it difficult for an offense to go right at him. I see no reason why in 3 years he can't rise to his potential.
