Independence provides more money and better schedules while a conference would provide some added meaning and a realistic pathway to an NY6. Neither gets BYU the P5 money or prestige the fanbase craves.

Yes, I think indy is better than MWC for recruiting. Just look at the difference in teams played & TV.
