fielding a competitive team more than any want to admit, for most years at least. I'm not sure we would do all that well even in the Big XII, even with a slight recruiting bump. Maybe even more so with basketball.

I think we should look hard at AAC for football only or back off the gas with the scheduling so it's not so tough like in 2017. For years like this one, the margin for error is razor thin.
