right now there is no indication that BYU or Tom feels that it is no longer sustainable. It appears that they are close to getting a new deal with ESPN and so if the goal right now is exposure and access then right now Independence gives them the best deal. I have to think that Tom knows something and is just being patient waiting for that next shift which will come sometime before the tv contracts are up. If P5 doesn't happen at that point for BYU then its probably time to get in the best Conference possible.
