Why would we tell them they suck? They already know!! They’re 3-9, having the worst BYU season in over 50 years. They aren’t stupid, they know they’ve just been ineffective this year.

And for all your yapping about us Cougarboarders not having the gumption to tell the coaches what we think... it’s a bunch of testosterone-pumped rubbish. It’s not about cahones, it’s about decency. It’s one thing to vent on an anonymous board. The coaches expect that. Again, they’re not stupid; they’re grown men. It’s quite another to have some pointless personal confrontation where I need to belittle them face-to-face.

They voluntarily chose to assume the liability, the scrutiny, and the public critique that comes with coaching at BYU. They’re big boys. Let them fight their own fight.

In the end, If I had a relationship where I felt like Ty or Kalani would actually listen and internalize what I’m saying... you better believe I’d tell them exactly what I think they need to do better. And I hope they’d do the same for me; it’s what true friends do.
