I do agree with your point, the problem however
is that all but one of those games happened to be at the beginning of the season when Jake was splitting reps/getting his feet wet/using Anae's system. The only "good defense" game we played after the USU debacle (when Jake was firmly the starter and the play calling changed significantly) was the Utah game. And despite only scoring 16 points, Jake looked good in that game (there were a lot of other problems outside the QB position).
