Very pedestrian analysis
There is a correlation between time spent at QB for the true freshman and his progression as a successful QB which also correlates to a weaker schedule. I think the best evidence is how collectively the team looked better and more cohesive which is more of a qualitative as opposed to quantitative evidence. You arent denying Heaps looked better and more comfortable in the pocket are you? Even against Utah, you could see the young freshman perform and make plays. Sometimes how someone looks is as important when doing an analysis especially in football where the sample size is small and there are more factors at play.
