On transfers the past few years. The grad transfer RBs this year were huge—even though injuries took a unexpected toll. And some transfers that unfortunately never saw the field could also have made big impacts—but I don’t think Kalani is to blame for things not working out.
I think our offensive line—even though the o line players are probably disappointed with a few things this year—has improved quite a bit (and that’s no knock on O line under bronco).
Depth across the board is better than it’s been in a long time.
Not to drink too much of the koolaid, but Quarterback pipeline looks stacked. The secondary is young and promising, although we’ll definitely miss Dayan.
So things look to be trending up. Sure we haven’t landed too many of the KVN and Warner bros type recruits lately, which is a concern, but Gentry would be a huge get this yeas and maybe build some momentum towards committing some other super well known talent. I think it’s too early to say that Kalani is not the Jedi recruiter we expected—although this year will be telling since he has a decent W-L record to work off of, and has some good selling points.
