When Kalani took over we had 5 year starter Taysom Hill and uber recruit freshman All-American Tanner Mangum in the QB room. We aren't better than that now. We know now that Mangum never achieved his promise, but we have no one on our roster now with that pedigree and he was the backup.
In the RB room we had future NFLer Jamaal Williams. Add in Squally Canada and Francis Bernard and how could you say we are better now? Next year we have...McChesney?
I won't cover receivers because you already admitted that.
At LBer in 2015 we had future NFL stud Fred Warner. We had future NFLer Harvey Langi. We had future NFLer Sione Takitaki. We had Sae Tautu, Butch Pau'u, Jherremya Leuta Douyere, Adam Pulsipher. We don't have anywhere near that talent today.
At DL we had future NFLers in Bronson and Corbin Kaufusi. We had Travis Tuiloma, Tevita Mo'unga, Logan Taele. Not sure how you could say we have more talent at that position now.
In the secondary we had future NFL starter Mike Davis, returning starter Micah Hanneman, uber recruit Dayan Lake, Zayne Anderson, Chris Badger, Michael Shelton, Jordan Preator, Eric Takenaka and Zayne Anderson.
I'm curious how you look at that and think we are more talented now than in 2015.
