a large population of 20% of the world. You can swat at windmills all day to try and say that there isn't potential for 34 of every 1000 to die, but that isn't reality.
It doesn't mean that it can't be lowered by better precautions (which thus far only Korea has done), or by availability of more treatment, which China has, but can't sustain. And the US is even less likely to have the means to treat so many people and sustain a high level of treatment.
And I have friends in Italy, who live there full time, and are seeing what is happening there. And it's no joke that they are literally allowing people with intense trauma to just die while they continue treatment on CV-19 patients.
