Patient at extremely high risk of life and limb goes to ED and gets a procedure with improved chances of survival but no guarantee then she’s the doctor when the procedure results in loss of a leg and not life.
You have to evaluate the potential loss of life from doing nothing and the potential loss of life from doing something and then you weigh them in the balance and do the thing most likely to benefit the most people.
Sure it sucks but suck it up. Do what you can. Help a neighbor whose business got shut down. If yours is shut down do what you can.
Loss of money is much lower risk than loss of oxygen to the brain. Much much lower.
