just a lowly guy, living in China, who can read an interpret case rates and casualties. The fact that there are other
people who aren't showing signs or can be potentially affected of course reduces the the mortality rate. Artificially in my opinion. And I also understand very clearly that the asymptomatic and untested can greatly reduce mortality. But that also assumes that all of those will occur and no credible record of their cause of death will be determined and applied to CV-19.

I'm referring to the way China is counting, which is confirmed cases, and total deaths from those confirmed cases. Because right now, the Chinese believe they have confirmed cases limited to the sum total CSoul is using. Which is why anyone coming from overseas is now going directly into quarantine in China. Because as of yesterday, there was ONE new case in Wuhan, and 20 new cases from overseas travelers. This has been the trend for almost a week. 30 provinces and cities (some cities like Shanghai are province level) and only ONE of them, inside the lockdown city of Wuhan reporting ANY new cases.

And based on all their data, the rate is still 3.4% regardless of what some expert in the US wants to extrapolate. In China right now, there is no need to extrapolate because there is no evidence of asymptomatic or untreated cases outside of Wuhan or the quarantines for inbound travelers.
