Body has said KS is perfect, and the Tuiaki point is irrelevant to the Detmer firing. Holmoe may have unfairly hired Ty as OC without KS's buy-in, so, if true, KS and TD both were done a disservice. That's business. I feel bad for Ty that he landed in a tough situation, but Kalani made the right decision in fixing and taking control of his football program when it faltered badly. Ty never had a gun put to his head to leave his sweet small HS coaching gig in TX. There's no doubt Ty got paid a nice six figure salary to take the OC job he negotiated with TH. Ty is a big boy and should have understood the risks, especially if he was never KS's 1st choice as OC.
I don't totally follow your points about Zach's love for the Utes. Yeah, Zach was a longshot to come to BYU, but Kalani gets an A+ for recognizing Zach's potential and recruitung him to BYU against all odds when Ty could not. Highly paid leaders like Ty and Kalani get paid a lot of money to accomplish difficult things.
Maybe you know Ty personally but the facts, not emotion, say he has not landed a major coaching position since his firing.
Maybe Ty has turned down other coaching jobs, but there is no objective evidence that he has proven himself as a good D1 coach, and that supports KS's decision to fire. Ty has high football IQ and is a great guy, but that doesn't mean he was ready for that OC job.
We can agree to disagree about Kalani's firing of Detmer. My suggestion to you: be slow to judge what is "shameful" rather than what is fair opinion based on logic and evidence.
