For you people voting thumbs down
Are you wanting to claim that common sense advice is wrong and does not keep people safe? Common sense does keep people safe. And people that make dumb decisions have a greater chance of getting hurt.

If someone makes a dumb decision and gets hurt we don't justify the assailant. But we do observe that making dumb decisions enabled a person to get hurt. Don't be so self-righteous indignant that you would encourage people to act foolishly and against their better judgment. There are consequences to decisions. And if a unwise decision leads to a bad outcome it is still an unwise decision.
