The costs might be know for individual steps, the unknown is how many steps it

Takes to get the diagnose and the treat the disease. Treating complex medical processes is not some simple recipe anyone can follow, rarely do two patients with the same disease get the same exact care. That is why medical costs are complex and we can't just say, you have lymphoma it will cost you X dollars.
